How We Buy and Consign
To make sure we’re the right fit for your item, we evaluate each piece based on its brand, style, demand, and the season. Market trends, prices and what our clients are looking for change often, so our inventory and pricing changes with them.
Before you come in, please submit your items through our web form. This is the best way for us to give you an accurate idea of what we can accept and an estimated price range, saving you time and ensuring a smooth, transparent process.
We consign items for a period of 8 to 16 weeks. Once the consignment period ends, we will send a pick-up notification via email or SMS, which includes a link to schedule a collection appointment.
Studio61 Payout Rates (July 2026)
We’ve simplified our payout rates to make them easy to understand.
Selling Price Under $60
30% Bank Transfer or 50% Store Credit (Outright Purchase)
Selling Price $60 ~ $199
35% Bank Transfer or 50% Store Credit (Outright Purchase)
Selling Price $200 ~ $499
45% (Consignment – Sale or Return)
Selling Price $500 ~ $999
50% (Consignment – Sale or Return)
Selling Price $1,000 ~ $1,999
60% (Consignment – Sale or Return)
Selling Price $2,000 and Above
70% (Consignment – Sale or Return)
Payout Examples
1. We sell your dress for $100. You receive $35 by bank transfer within 14 days or $50 as Studio61 Store Credit valid for 6 months.
2. We sell your handbag for $600 on consignment. You receive 50% when it sells, so your payout is $300.
Luxury Items Authentication
Luxury handbags and accessories are professionally authenticated before sale.
For example, if we agree on a split price of $1,000, we add the authentication fee to the retail selling price making it $1,060.
When the item sells for $1,060, the authentication fee is deducted.
Your 60% payout is then calculated on the agreed $1,000 split price.
In effect, the authentication cost is paid by the buyer, not you.
There are no other fees or commissions.
Cleaning and Repairs
Occasionally, we find an item has a stain or minor damage that we believe can be professionally cleaned or repaired. If this happens, we’ll contact you with the estimated cost before proceeding, so you can decide whether you’d like to go ahead. Any agreed cleaning or repair costs are deducted from your payout, as these are out-of-pocket expenses paid on your behalf.
Important Notes
1. All prices and payouts are agreed with you before your item is listed for sale.
2. We may apply a 10% courtesy discount, for example to first-time customers or on larger purchases. Any discount is deducted before your payout is calculated.
3. All consignment payout rates are based on the final selling price.
4. Please read our Terms & Conditions, particularly our pricing reduction policy, before consigning with us.
