Luxury Authentication Information For Consignors
Our reputation for quality and authenticity is our priority and all items sold through Studio61 Boutique and Preloved Clothing Online are 100% authentic. We are partnered with Entrupy, a technology solution for authenticating luxury bags, apparel and sneakers.
If you wish to consign luxury items with Studio61 Boutique, we authenticate eligible items in-house using Entrupy. We authenticate all luxury items, even where original receipts, cards, or documentation are provided. This is standard practice within the luxury resale industry and helps ensure we remain competitive and trusted within the market.
For items we are comfortable accepting for consignment following our initial inspection, the authentication cost is not charged upfront. Instead, the cost is added onto the agreed split price. When the item sells, the authentication cost is deducted first, and the remaining balance is then split according to your agreed payout percentage.
If your item does not sell with us and you later decide to sell it privately or consign it elsewhere, you may purchase the authentication certificate from us.
If, during our initial inspection, we have concerns about authenticity but you would still like to proceed with authentication, the Entrupy authentication fee must be paid upfront. In this case, we will take payment from you before the authentication process begins. Once completed, the certificate belongs to you and can be emailed to you if you choose not to consign the item with Studio61 Boutique.
Brands we can authenticate are: Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta, Burberry, Coach, Chanel, Chloe, Christian Louboutin, Celine, Dior, Dolce and Gabbana, Fendi, Ferragamo, Givenchy, Goyard, Gucci, Hermes, Loewe, Louis Vuitton, MCM, Prada, Saint Laurent, and Valentino.
Bags & Wallets Authentication Fees
Designer Brands: $80 per authentication
Chanel: $120 per authentication
Hermès: $280 per authentication
Sneakers & Clothing Authentication Fees
Designer Brands: $80 per authentication
Chanel & Hermès: $120 per authentication
For authentic items our service includes an authenticity certificate sent directly to your email, providing proof of your item’s authenticity. If the item comes back as unidentified and you require a letter of evidence from Entrupy, the fee for this letter is $40.
Cleaning & Restoration
Additional cleaning, repairs or restoration required to bring items to a saleable standard will be charged to the consignor and the fee deducted from your payout. Cleaning fees range from $20 to $100. Any larger repair fees will be agreed upon with you prior to the sale of your items.
